Miami AI Club

Miami AI Club (MAIC) is a private, invitation-only leadership circle built for people with real responsibility in AI — founders, executives, investors, educators, policymakers, and researchers shaping how AI enters society.

Why MAIC Exists

AI is moving faster than the frameworks meant to guide it. Policy, institutions, and society are still catching up while real decisions are already being made. In that environment, the loudest voices often dominate while the people doing the most serious work remain fragmented across sectors.

MAIC was created to close that gap — a trusted room where leaders can reduce noise, speak candidly, and build alignment across industries, then convert that alignment into real initiatives.

Our thesis: In the AI era, trust is infrastructure. Without it, adoption slows, governance weakens, and outcomes drift toward hype. MAIC exists to protect signal and compound trust.

Founded and Guided by Dr. Nima Schei

MAIC was founded and is led by Dr. Nima Schei, a medical doctor-turned-neuroscientist and AI entrepreneur. His work bridges human intelligence, ethics, and practical AI deployment, with a focus on building systems that earn trust.

Alongside MAIC, Nima leads ventures and collaborations across healthcare, education, and responsible AI adoption. He brings a builder’s mindset to the club: strategy matters only if it becomes reality.

Our Mission

To drive positive global impact through AI by advancing meaningful projects, ethical deployment, and cross-sector collaboration. We convene people building, governing, funding, and teaching AI with a long-term view: progress with integrity.

How MAIC Works

MAIC is built around strong rooms. Private dinners, executive roundtables, and working sessions allow leaders to speak honestly, challenge assumptions, and move from theory to execution.

MAIC Task Forces

Responsible Education Task Force

Co-led with Dr. Susan Neimand, the Responsible Education Task Force brings together educators, administrators, and AI leaders to explore how artificial intelligence should enter learning environments thoughtfully. The focus is not only on tools, but on pedagogy, human development, and preparing students for a world where AI is present.

The task force emphasizes responsible integration, teacher support, and long-term workforce readiness — ensuring education evolves with intention rather than reaction.

Healthcare Adoption Task Force

Led in collaboration with Mandeep Maini, the Healthcare Adoption Task Force focuses on practical pathways for AI in healthcare. The emphasis is on real implementation: clinical workflows, governance, and measurable patient impact.

Rather than chasing hype, the task force supports grounded adoption — aligning clinicians, operators, and technologists around what truly improves care delivery.

Intentionally Selective

MAIC grows by alignment, not volume. Exclusivity protects the integrity of the room and the quality of outcomes that emerge from it.

A Global and Local Perspective

Based in Miami, MAIC operates at the intersection of local action and global insight. AI’s impact is global, and it requires perspectives from across society.

We grow by alignment, not volume.
